Description

It’s a photo of eucalyptus bark. I saw a face in it, though, and now I can’t look at it without seeing the face.

I think I see a very disjointed Picasso face. But that aside, I love the tonalities and shapes and shadings! But I’m struggling to see Eucalyptus here. More like a dried corn stalk. Not that it matters because whatever it is, it’s very lovely!

Eyes closed and pensive - almost grumpy. Well spotted. I thought corn stalk too, but whatever. You’ve composed the face very well, framed as it is between vertical bark. Great capture of shadow and light, Don.

This is excellent, Don. The play of light and shadow and the textures and shapes all seem to flow beautifully together in this image.

Diane, Mike, Dennis, thanks. Some subjects really lend themselves to black and white.

Really like the texture and the B/W processing works very well. Nice image Don.
