Superb detail, Dan. Amazing for hand holding 600 mm at 1/200. Did you use a fast burst? I like the preening pose and the light wss just right to bring out the gorget.
Nice detail at 1/200 handheld! I like the pose and the composition, but am interested how others feel about the centered comp.
Given the pose, Dave, I think Dan’s centered comp works very well. A touch further left would also probably work, but I like it as posted.
Excellent action image with superb detail and color on the hummingbird. We have Anna’s Hummingbirds here throughout the winter and Rufus in the summer in addition to the Anna’s. I might decrease the saturation of the background greens. The bird is fine. I’m okay with the centered crop on this one.
