Unfortunately, the light angle was wrong to show any color in the gorget, but I liked the pose and eye contact and the nice winter light on the back plumage. This is a pretty large crop-he’s rather skittish.

What a bendy little dude. The pose is arresting even if the bird is at rest, basically. Good details in the plumage, although the eye looks a trifle softer. Not a biggie. Those ruffled little feathers are a wonder.
Nice pose. I have some like this but very busy surroundings. Can’t seem to get them away from branches and leaves. I like it.
