Dragonflies are starting to emerge in numbers at my neighborhood lake in Tennessee. I saw this guy patrolling at the boat dock yesterday.

Allen, I have yet to succeed in capturing a DF in flight, so I’m a bit envious. Maybe one day I will be able to nail one. Did you use animal and eye detection on your R7? Just curious. I haven’t had much luck the few times I have tried the R5 with insects. Hoping maybe it works on DF eyes. This little guy is nice and sharp except for the wing closest to us, which I am guessing is moving faster than the one that are upwards. At least it didn’t cover his eyes. Nicely done. I love dragonflies.
