I saw this dragonfly at a local pond over the weekend. I rarely get a chance at this species so was pleased to get the opportunity.

Specific Feedback

Any thoughts on the shooting angle? I was glad to get a pose with the head, wings, and tail tip all pretty visible.

Allen, you did a fine job getting details of the DF all over with f18 f-stop and still get the BG oof so nicely. The angle works for me. You were probably limited on where you and your equipment could stand. Very well done.

Allen, You’re killing me with these dragonfly images! So hard to catch them…
ours have not shown up on the coast yet, but we’re heading over to hot CA tomorrow, so I hope they are around the pond we have.
Excellent detail - as usual - a nice perspective, perfect BG forthis guy, and a nice perch - something better than their usual single strand of grass.
Fine work!

Wonderful specimen very well captured and presented!

It might be a second layer of icing, but I wonder about muting the grass a bit and then bringing up contrast globally to pop the DF even more.

Allen: I think I’m going to plan a trip to your area just for the dragonflies. Another marvelous subject superbly captured and presented. >=))>
