This is an excellent capture, Allen!
The level of detail on the entire DF is superb in my view!
The lighting and exposure were very well handled.
Colors are great, too!
I certainly can relate to the difficulties of a windy session, it appears that the 1/1000s paid off!

Well done!

Allen: Great capture of this little beauty. The perch is the icing on a very fine cake. Most excellent. >=))>

A beautifully artistic portrayal of this lovely insect, Allen. Very well done.

Allen, Halloween Penants are one of the more spectacular dragonflies. This is an excellent look, showing off the wings, the head, and the thorax very well. The flower adds a fine touch of contrasting color with it’s blooms and coordinates very well with the background with the buds and stems.

Very nice, Allen. I agree with @Bill_Fach that the perch is icing on the cake. They usually land on a broken stick or something for me. That wonderful BG makes him stand out. Nice details in the DF. Well done!

Completely gorgeous!!! All said above! I think there is an alternate crop here, from the left to remove the top flower. That would give even more presence to the DF with the spectacular detail in the wings.
