The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
This is the same bird, but in full song. The nest hole is just out of the frame. I had to do some major cleanup of assorted dark OOF sticks and dark blobs of OOF marsh hummocks in the BG. Because the bird’s outline is so crip, I was able to do some selection for removing the stick that was going behind the bird’s head. -2EV fill flash perked up the shadows a bit,.
Specific Feedback
This is fairly close to becoming a high key image. I decided to leave some of the darker BG elements and some OOF grasses near the tail of the warbler. How do you feel about this?
Technical Details
Z9 180-400mm f4 + 1.4 TC -2.0ev fill. Levels, BG repair using inverse selection, rubber stamp tool, and bandage tool…Jim

Very well done, Jim. I love the singing pose and you did a great job cleaning up the background.
I like the singing pose, Jim, and again excellent detail and color rendition in the warbler. The background works. For me, the perch seems to draw a bit more of my attention than I would like-maybe a slight crop off the bottom and removing the part on the right side sticking up?
Hi Jim
Here I think the fill flash help with bring out the Warbler’s eye and feather detail.

Wonderful pose of this spring singer! Your cleanup worked well. I’m wondering how a darker and shorter perch would work? That might set off the great colours even better.
Fine work, Jim -
Hi Jim, wonderful singing pose and nice rendition of the yellows. I could see darkening the perch some. Well done.
Beautiful singing warbler, Jim. Great pose with beak open and a decent head position. Good sharp details too. I find the perch a little bit distracting and some of the blotches in the background in the sky. I think this would actually work well as a high key image and getting rid of all the background distractions would make the bird stand out a bit more. Of course leaving some of the OOF dark patches gives the image a sense that there is some foliage in the backdrop and frames the bird a little bit. The light on the bird is a tiny bit flat and the perch is a tiny bit bright so I hope you don’t mind but I took this into LR very quickly and cleaned up the background (you can do a better job than I did if you take more time than I did and also added some dodging and burning to the warbler, particularly the head, the wing and the brighter yellow area under the wing).
Here is my quick take:
