Photographed on Grimsey Island, off Iceland last week - light was a bit challenging coming from the right - but wind conditions were such, that i made the decision to consciously try the landing this way

Shot with Nikon’s Z9 using the 180-400 at 560 mm ( built in TC )

Lovely action shot Karl! Good detail, color and lighting. Nice background too. Another beakfull of krill for the nest. Not nits from me.

Very cool landing image, Karl. These birds (and a lot of other water birds) look so comical coming in for a landing. Nicely photographed and well processed.

Yes, they do look heavily unbalanced especially when landing and at taking off and comical as you put it!
