If an icon is defined as a place where many photographs have been made, Rainbow Ridge near Paxson AK, is an icon, if only because I made about 300 images in the hour or so I watched the sun move over the colors! It is the kind of place one could easily make 300 images a day for a year and never see all that is there.

Love the dappled light on the ridge and of course the colors and abstract natural patterns really make this image stand out.
I’m a little unsure of the included brush. It’s on the edge of either wanting to see more… or none at all. But for sure it makes for an anchor, reference and to some degree, scale. If anything perhaps bump up the luminosity so we can see more detail.
