It was a slightly cold morning, I was out birding. I started noticing movement in the bushes and at first, I thought it was a stray dog. Then I thought it was a coyote. It wasn’t until later that I realized it was a Red Fox!

This location is maybe 1/2 mile from a very busy road and an Interstate highway! A shopping center even closer than that! They’re running out of prime habitat!

Thanks for looking and I would greatly appreciate feedback, good or otherwise! Help me improve!

Thanks,

Very nice, Jim. Good detail in the fox and I like the pose. You might look at cropping up to the base of the sapling on the bottom and maybe half way down to the head on the top, but that’s just my taste.

Thank you very much Dennis. Very good suggestion about the crop! I appreciate your comments, very helpful to me.

Jim

It’s a cool capture and I like how the color of forest matches with the fox. You already have a good suggestion about cropping, actually square crop suits very few frames.
