Oh yeah you totally lucked out with the branches. Nature isn’t this cooperative most of the time! Super detail and the light is so soft and inviting. It’s hard to make a raptor look tranquil, but I think you’ve done it here. You could clone a couple of tiny branches coming into the frame at the edges if you were a mind and you don’t mind my saying.

Wonderful portrait, Allen. The framing of the bird is excellent and the OOF background is very nice too. My only comment might be to brighten up the eye a touch, not much…Well done.

My initial thought was the hawk was well positioned in the frame. Pleasing image.
