Nice pause between tides images, Allen. Glad you identified the gulls. I wasn’t sure what they were with their feet and bills hidden. I’d about decided they might be gulls, but only because I couldn’t think of a shorebird with plain, unmarked plumage and I thought I remembered that “striping” on a gull. No way I could have id’ed it.
I like this kind of peaceful image where the birds are resting comfortably.

Really nice images Allen. Love the duo look of the gulls in the first image with the broken water. The second image is quite nice too with the eye of the middle bird seeming to sneak a peak at us.

Nice quiet images of two winter species I see often enough floating and bobbing in the wave rills or scurrying frantically along in the sand. I like the sharp focus of both and the Sanderlings blending in with the cobbles.
