Image Description

I found this little guy in a pond at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. I love the background of all the duck weed surrounding the frog I think it really brings the attention of his eyes.

Technical Details

I used my Canon R5 II to capture this image.

Cormac,

Welcome to NPN. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

What I noticed is that everything around the frog, that is the duck weed, is out of focus, even the duck weed that is in line with the eyes on either side, which should be in the plane of focus, are out of focus. So in that , the eyes become prominently focused. Was that done in post or in camera?

Thank you! In camera.

Welcome to NPN !
Beautiful close up and interesting colour pallette.

Cormac, welcome to NPN! Nice photo to start of with. Good focus on the eyes and the background fitting well in colour so as not to distract from the subject.
Grt, Ingrid.
