The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Another image from my photo tour in the Tromsö region (northern part of Norway) in november last year.
I really liked the partly lit frost “ridge” mimicing the sunlit mountain ridge in the BG. I had to lie flat on the ground/ice and reach my arms out in fronmt of me not to crash the ice with my own weight. There was not possible to get low enough with a tripod so the camera is handheld resting on a seat cushion placed verry close to the frost ridge.
Specific Feedback
During my first 5 years as a hobby photographer I have almost solely photographed small scenes. I now deliberatly try to learn how to capture more traditional landscape scenes, and the photo tour to Tromsö was chosen to kick-start that.
So, any comments on how to improve the image are very much appreciated.

I like how you have composed the image to have the foreground piece of ice that mimics the peaks in the background. The alpenglow is also lovely. One suggestion is that the midground (water) feels a bit dominant and not as interesting as the foreground and background. If the water had more texture or shape to it, there might be a better sense of connection from the foreground to the background. It can be challenging to have all the elements working together. That said, a very nice image!
Excellent near/far landscape! Beautiful scene and image.
Great job getting the depth of field here and the pov is creating very nice depth. I actually wouldn’t have guessed you were down on your belly with the camera at just about ground level. You did a great job all the way through capture to processing and presentation.
Of course I too like the relationship between the frosted ridge of ice mimicking the mountain range. Just gorgeous all the way around.
I’d say your journey to the bigger landscape is well on it’s way. Excellent work!
