I’ve posted a pix from this wintertime trip to Pt. Reyes, but never did post any of the abstracts I made. The light was spectacular, clear and golden near sunset, and the tide was just right to get these incredible ripple marks and reflections.
Oh, this is nice. Bonnie! The contrast in texture between the sand ripples and the golden water is really wonderful. You might consider cropping the dark area at the top. The blue/gold cotrast is striking, as well. Processing looks spot-on to me!

Very nice image Bonnie. The patterns of sand and water are very effective. I agree with Preston that it might be good to crop the very top of the photo to eliminate that little dark strip of sand.
Bonnie: So many lines, textures and curves to see here. Almost makes me dizzy but in a very good way. I’m OK with the dark band at the top as it does provide context. The reflected cliff is fantastic. Extremely well seen and superbly captured and presented. >=))>
That strip at the top is rather dark. This has a vignette, which looks to be a bit much for the top. I went back and deleted the vignette and evened out the exposure at the top, rather than cropping. A rework is posted. Thanks for the input.
Bonnie, this is great! There’s so much to enjoy visually, with the rippled sand patches, the cliff’s reflection with it’s texture set well against the clear blue sky reflection. I only see one picture and I wouldn’t change a thing, since the sand across the full frame at the top works well as a visual stop, sending my eyes back through the frame again…
This is wonderful, Bonnie. So much color and texture woven together. I think the re-edit works well and brings out the textures in the sand a little more.
