A beautiful image of the robin, John, and your perch is gorgeous, though I’ve dug out too much holly to be fond of it-it’s invasive out here. I do find that the wide bright white frame draws my eye right out of the image unless I get my nose right up to it.

John: this is beautiful capture of the robin. The light, pose of the bird and framing by the holly are excellent. I like the white frame as it really contrasts with the darker image and sets off the bird very well. Congrats! Richard

Thanks to Dennis and Richard. The robin is drawn to the holly berries and they don’t quit until they have eaten all from the branches.

This is an excellent photo of a Robin, John! The berries really make it special. I think a light frame is a good idea for a relatively dark image but I think the white is just too bright. A pastel version of a complimentary color might set to image off just as well without overpowering it.

Thanks Gary, will hopefully be able to bring your suggestion of pastel color next time.
