Nice pose from the Spoonbill, Ray. The exposure and detail look excellent. If you had raised your iso and stopped down , you might have been able to get the end of the bill all the way to the head sharp, though I’m not sure-that’s an awfully long bill. I like the habitat as well.

Dennis, thanks for your comment.

I like the environmental aspect of this image, Ray, and how you composed the scene with the spoonbill. Great detal and love those colors that contrast nicely with the environment. Good pose.

Alan, thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate your insights.

Hi Ray, this is a nice colorful Spoonbill - well captured. I like the environmental aspect and agree with higher ISO and narrower aperture. Great to see this one in feeding mode with a good look at the eye. Nice pose!

Hello Allan, Thank you for taking the time to view and comment on the Spoonbill capture. I appreciate your comment. Ray

Very nice. I too love the environmental pose and the spoonbill “doing something.” Great composition where the bird is in the frame. You may want to tone down the flower and bright area near it with a brush as it takes my eye away from the bird slightly. Colors and the light are spot on. Still beautiful as presented.

Andrew, thank you for commenting in the Spoonbill photo. I like the suggestion to tone down the flowers and bright areas. I didn’t notice the distraction. Great eyes, Thanks. Ray
