Lost Maples State Natural Area, Texas
The Sabinal River cuts through Texas limestone at Lost Maples. There are many rock outcroppings like this with hard rough surfaces. I enjoyed watching the light filtering through the clouds and tree canopy giving these two leaves a different look almost every few seconds. All comments welcome. >=))>

The leaves are set off nicely against the craggy texture of the rock. I love the added bonus of the lone “pine needle?”
Bill, the textures in the leaves and the rock are outstanding. I’m grinning about that one little needle on the left.
Beautiful small scene and I agree about the little needle adding a fine touch to the scene. Very well done.
I like the pair - two leaves with similar but different shapes and colors. It looks like one is face up and the other face down. It’s an interesting observation.
