I removed lots of branches and twigs from the bush. I left the pertinent ones and those crossing the bird.

A gorgeous high-key image of this hawk, David. With that pose, I’d be tempted to center the bird a bit more. This one is very suitable for framing-just lovely.

What a beauty. The pose is wonderful.

Great image - I love the intensity in the eyes. Thanks for sharing.

This is a nice high key image. They can be hit or miss for me but in the right light they can work well.
You got a great stare, beautiful hawk, angle not too steep with the eye contact and the perch is not that messy and has interest. I might try a 4 x 5 crop for a bit less at the top if it were mine.

What a nice and intense look ! Love the high-key effect. Nice work, Cheers, Hans

It is a splendid high-key image, the look is intriguing. Beautiful photo!

A wonderful composition. I think that your prudent removal of extraneous sticks is spot on. No nits from me…Jim
