Scarred but still Beautiful

Any feedback is welcome

I’m usually disappointed when I go to a sand dune area and find ATV tracks all over but in this case even though the dune is scarred and distorted from heavy traffic it still struck me as intesting and beautiful. Capured at 400mm in HDR mode with 2 stop brackets.

Real nice light on the sand dunes. A good example of HDR. Yeah it kinda sucks that people do this to the sand dunes. But perhaps a windstorm will blow away all the tracks.

Thanks David. The afternoon light was kind to me!

Todd, the dunes are indeed lovely, especially their waving structure, in this light. In spite of their limited size, the ATV tracks stand out. Yes, it would be nice if we humans were better at enjoying nature, without being destructive. It looks like you have a track maker in the lower right corner, which adds well to the story.

Thanks Mark, I’m glad you noticed the tiny figure at the bottom of the image. I really like how it shows the scale of the dune.
