Scenes from the swamp

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

In the first two images, I am trying to show a bit of the habitat in the swamp that I visited over the weekend. Last shot is of a close up of an egret we saw there gulping down a minnow.

Very evocative of the feel of a deep dark swamp, Allen. An excellent series.

Hi allen
Nice series of photographs. I think you could bring up the background just a little in the first and third photographs.
Peter

Herons have a natural grace that comes up nicely in your pictures, especially the first one. I especially like its darker rendering, making it in my eyes a bit more tense, as in : when will that beak strike? Of course “gulping a minnow” is a nice moment to catch. I am still trying… :frowning:
