These little guys are hard to find and even harder to photograph. It was cloudy but he came out in the open for about 10m sec. for a pose or two.

These are tough birds to find out in the open. You did a good job getting the bird in focus. The head turn is very nice. Well done…Jim

Nice detail and head turn, Brian. I’ve never seen one of these, but it seems just a bit bright on my monitor. Nice job catching it out in the open.

Good job on the pose and detail. You nailed the focus. I think your depth of field works pretty well. I do agree with Dennis that the white plumage on the chest and head could be toned down a little bit. Perhaps a slight vignette would create more focus on the subject.

Nice pose; the drop of water on the head is a nice touch. Detail looks good. Agree it does seem a bit bright in the whites. Excellent capture in the time allowed.
