The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I spotted this bumblebee that had spent the night on a coneflower a couple of mornings ago. Since it wasn’t moving and there wasn’t any breeze, I got out a macro rig capable of doing focus bracketing and took a few 70 image stacks from different angles
Specific Feedback
Curious which angle is most appealing to people. The last one is quite a large crop and the stacking artifacts are starting to show up in the bee, but I accidentally got this view in LR and thought it had enough impact to make up for the defects.
Technical Details
All images derived from 70 image focus bracketing Sony A7Rv, EF 70-200 f/4 macro @ 200 mm, iso 2500, F/8, 1/320th. Stacked in Helicon Focus. Modest crops on the first three.

Dennis: Kudos to you for taking full advantage of the circumstances and for the effort in processing as well. I think I like the first view the most with the entire much less than perfect coneflower perch. On the second I find the echo of the second bloom a little heavy and on the third the echo doesn’t do much for me one way or another. I do like the extreme close up which shows the dew on the bee and all its fine details. Nice series and good results.>=))>
Very nice series Dennis. Love seeing the dew on the flower and the bee especially in the close up. Details and stacking look good to me. The furry look of the bee is quite cool. Well done.
Dennis, #3 is my favorite as it shows the dew nicely, while the head on look at the bee is dramatic. You might get something like #4 provided you had a macro lens capable of 1:1 magnification. I looked it up and your lens gets 1:2 which is excellent for a zoom.
Theoretically I can put a doubler on it and still get the same close focal distance. Haven’t tried it yet. Otherwise, I could have just put on the old Canon 180 standby.
