The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
I wanted to see how photographing at a distance would work out with the setup I was using. The late afternoon sun created the overall lighting in the photo.
Specific Feedback
Because of the distance I was at, about 6 feet, I wasn’t sure if I could get the bee well focused but have a soft background. Should this be a 1:1 crop, if there is enough room. I wanted to get a direct front view, the camera and bee was about 5 feet off the ground. I did slight vignette

Dean: Terrific use of your long lens to get a fine portrait of a face maybe only mom could love. I don’t think a 1:1 crop would be ideal but going to 4:5 does get rid of some of that bright stuff up top and gives the bee a bit more prominence. Good work. >=))>
Thanks for the feedback, @Dennis_Plank and @Bill_Fach . I took Bill’s suggestion on the crop. This will help with future. I also did a very slight vignette. We have cold weather again, so the bees headed south to Mexico, they will be back soon.
Really cool shot Dean, looking head on to this beautiful creature. He stands out well in spite of the busy background too with great detail. New crop improved an already splendid image.
