The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Took the macro lens to see just how close I can get to these subjects. It looks close but I was still a little bit away. Sometimes I will get the bee well focused but do wait for her to move into a good position. These bees never pose the way I want most of the time. It helps when there are a lot of them around.
Specific Feedback
Did some vignette and picked a 1:1 ratio. Suggestions welcome.

Very nice capture of the bee – and very difficult for sure. The BG is not ideal, though. I think you could crop some from the top and left and try to reduce contrast on what is left.
Great detail and pose on the bee and the flower. The colours are just right.
If you have a bit more breathing room either side , there might be another version of the very nice image…and a slice off the top as suggested by Diane.
Thanks for the feedback. I did loose the first crop so cannot give the bee more space, not sure how that happened. I took the suggestions on pulling back the top and left.
Dean: MUCH better on the crop. All that stuff around the edges didn’t add anything to the image and detracted from the bee. The detail on the bee in the crop is marvelous. Good work with the 100mm. I still have mine but rarely use it after I started using a 200mm. However in general 100mm macro lenses tend to be the sharpest lens in most bags so you took good advantage. Well done.>=))>
Wonderful details in the bee, Dean. I really like how the petal curves over the bee, framing him in. The crop improved the image, but I am wondering if maybe a little vignette to darken the cut off blooms on the edges would improve the shot even more. Just a thought.
Hi Dean, bee shots are always fun and I’m amazed at how they ignore me and my camera while buzzing around my flowering rhododendron each Spring. Your’s came out really well, with all the important parts nice and sharp and you had pretty good light at the time too. Would be interested in knowing your SS since the image was HH. The crop helped a bit too.
