Image Description

In late summer/early fall, my woodland pond gets visited by Shadow Darners. The males are known for hovering near the water’s edge looking for females. This is a visitor from last Sept. who spent maybe a half hour checking things out before he moved on.

Catching a Dragonfly in flight is always challenging so this one with all of it’s hovering was a treat.

The small image of the face page hasn’t shown the beauty of this dragonfly. Managing to catch him in flight is quite incredible. The background is as gorgeous as the dragonfly.

On a Tripod !!! Good Lord. I don’t know what to say. Amazing !!! I just can’t imagine how you got this shot. Great BG and Composition. Un REAL !!!
