Description
I planted bare root Native Shooting Stars a couple of years ago. They finally have bloomed and to my surprise they are white. Looking through the literature, it seems that white is indeed native and fairly common, although the more usual pink is the same plant. Catching these backlit against a green background added to the sense of a glorious spring day.
Specific Feedback
There are a few drops of water from the previous afternoon’s rain shower adding a bit extra to the view.

R5, 180 mm macro, 1/100 s, f/13, iso 800, tripod. A 10 shot stack.
Beautifully photographed, Mark. You managed to get a lovely background for these and your stack is excellent as I’d expect from the guy who can always find those subtle artifacts in stacked images. I don’t think I’ve ever seen white shooting stars here, but white variations in flowers seems to be pretty common.
The alba form appears to be a very worthy subject for your image stacking. The highlights are bright, but show detail so I label this photo as a success. Done perfectly…Jim
