Leo,

I like the variation of the textures in the three horizontal layers. I think that is the saving grace of this photo. The tonal range is pretty narrow and seem to be mostly in zone 6 to 9 so it is a fairly high key photo, but that is ok. You are right, the posts do add an interesting pattern to the image.

Good image. I like the simplicity and commonality of subject matter. It’s beautiful and yet ordinary at the same time. Wonderful tonal values.

Making assumptions about the color, I think this was a great idea to present as a black and white. I agree with you that the textures of the layers is key, and the BW lets that stand out. I also like the way the lines diverge/converge in that middle layer.

I think the tones look just about right.

A nice and simple scene. For me (and purely my taste) the high contrast on the grasses in the FG doesn’t feel in sync with the rest of the scene. The grasses take up so much of the frame but there is very little there but repetitive detail. I wonder about cropping off about the bottom half of the grasses. There is also a point of tension with the top fence wire being so close to the horizon.

This is really nice in BW Leo. I like the high key effect of this one and the three distinct zones.

I too like this because of its simplicity and tonality, but agree with Diane about a crop of some of the bottom.
