Description
We have a number of redbud trees in our yard and garden. This is called a Rising Sun and I caught some early morning light striking the leaf just so and thought it t worthy subject. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Cropped to not quite fill the frame. Would cropping from the bottom to fill the frame work for you?

Bill, I’d be tempted to crop off the bright part at the top to make it more abstract, although the transition from light to dark and back to light works well also. As is, I feel like it’s peering at me…
Good eye, Bill, to notice how the early light was shining on this leaf and the shadows it made. Perfect subject with it’s name being “Rising Sun”. I like it as it is myself.
Hi Bill,
Much as others have said, I like this as is. I appreciate the color palette (not fancy and very earth), and the shadow play adds a bit of mystery. As to your question, I wouldn’t be inclined to crop out the deep shadows at the bottom on the left and right. They so beautifully echo the triangle at the top. If I were to crop at all, I think it would be just a tish off the bottom (like just above your watermark/signature) to reduce the amount of the deep shadow while keeping the triangular echoes of the one at the top.
