This late afternoon look across the lower reaches of the Story Ranch uses the long shadows to show off the variety of shapes left in the land as the Yellowstone Glacier retreated. The large boulders are erratics dropped by the glacier as it melted.

While the view is ostensibly about the topography/geology, I hope it also works as a feels good, late afternoon, enjoying the day’s end view.

Mark: That is exactly the impression I got from this. I can imagine just sitting and watching the play of light over the land as the sun recedes. A very pleasant scene nicely rendered. >=))>
