Here’s a look South along the Yellowstone River at Point of Rocks. That’s a spot in Paradise Valley where the foothills of the Galletin mountains come right to the river’s edge. The view is from some of the rocks above the river. The cloudy conditions let the fall colors saturate showing off the yellows of the Cottonwoods and the prairie grasses.

For this challenge, I wanted a landscape with curves. That meant going back to files from 2021.
This looks very much like a NZ autumn landscape. You certainly have captured the river from a great view point that really does show off the curves and the beautiful colours of the trees and grasses. Is this shot within the NP?
I was a big fan of “Yellowstone” the series and all its prequels. I loved to see the beautiful mountains and of course, the good horses. But I know now that when I die, I’m going to come back as Beth!
While the show Yellowstone was supposedly in Paradise Valley (this photo is near the South end) and Bozeman, it was mostly filmed in Utah. I watched for a bit and gave up because the level of violence was vastly overdone. How many murders were never committed but investigated in the slightest? Branding your employees? That how cults operate. As a fan of real western history, I could go on and on about Holywood’s version, but it’s best not to get me started…
