Snowbound

This was a record snowfall for Western Washington with 18 inches falling in my area. This is the first time in seven years we’ve had more than 3 inches and anything that’s lasted more than 48 hours. I still can’t see my lawn and it’s been almost 10 days.

Love the deep cover on the table, David. We had one of these two weeks ago, but 12 inches in the DC area is seen with some regularity. The flying “flakes” of snow are huge and the roughness of the snow on the ground is amazing.

You really caught some nice big flakes here, David, and they show up well against the sky and water. The patio table does provide a great sense of scale for the snowfall.

David,

Now that’s some heavy snow! And as Dennis mentions, capturing those huge flakes of snow really helps define this image. The patio table works perfectly giving the rest of the scene context on the depth of the snow.

Nice view looking out the back!
