Shot earlier in the week in Louisiana. Two days at this rookery resulted in gobs of images. And unfortunately with the rather foolish choice of a high burst rate, it probably has taken at least twice my time at the desktop than it did for all the field work, and I’m not even finished yet
It was slightly overcast and breezy with a tailwind at the time as I watched this one for a bit, taking several frames of this sequence. But this guy never seemed to get it right. To me it just didn’t look very conducive to romance. Then again, I’m not a bird… so what do I know?
