Some guys just can't get a break

At the base of the Base River on Aril 28 at 8 AM, I came across a pair of Piping Plover and the male was having no luck with his mate. He first made a feather dance, then this look at my one legged tail dance and finally a nest. She was not impressed and just walk away. When I lined the four shot up, the Plover come out more center than I would have like. The shot were handheld and I just could not hold lens still at 546mm.
Thank you for stopping by.

Cute description of the poor guy’s day, Peter. I like all of them with the pose in #2 being marginally my favorite.

Very nice series Peter. These guys are really reminiscent of the Killdeer because of the dark band around the neck. The setting is superb. I think I prefer the second image because of the leg placement on two of the other images, there is a rock behind the forward foot which is a little distracting. I might try to clone out the bands. Nice job.

Hi, Peter. All four shots are cute, interesting, and technically nice. I like #2, as well and don’t see any issues with it.

HI
Thank you for the comments. The banding is a issue but, tried prepare and clone in DXO Photo Lab 4, it just didn’t work.
