Description

I photographed the Piping Plover in DennisPort, Mass, on April 22, at 3:20 PM. I only captured the last two frames of this Plover trying to make a nest in the sand. The female was not impressed and flew away. Thank you for stopping by.

Well done, Peter. Sharp images of the plover with nicely blurred foreground and background. I particularly like the pose of the second image with the crossed legs and coming at the viewer.

Very nice images and like how you were able to get down to the sand to capture the scene. Exposure is spot on and I like the first one showing more wing with flared tail…Jim

Hi Allen & Jim
Thank you for the comments. I just wish, I reacted quicker and capture more of the hard work this Plover went through, before being rejected by female Plover.
Peter

Great action poses in both images, Peter. The first image is really cool, but I also like the second where the low angle and head-on shot makes it look as if the bird were charging you.

Hi Peter, I like the wing and feet positions - gives us a really being in the world of this plover. Low shooting angle is really nice too.

Hi Dennis & Allen
It is always a fun time photographing Plovers. Thank you for the comments.
