They do like to skulk in the underbrush, Dave. It gave you a pretty good view with that one red eye showing nicely. You might play with toning down the bright upper part of the background as it tends to pull the eye right past the Towhee.

Hi Dave, I really like this. Nice view of this ground dweller. I think you handled the side lighting well with good details on the left of the bird.
