This is an early spring view up Grizzly Creek. This is part of the Tom Miner basin, just northwest of Yellowstone, where a number of the ranchers and other landowners have created an association that is working to develop methods that are compatible with the local wildlife, especially the Grizzly bears, Bighorn sheep, and Moose.

Mark, a really nice look at this cohabiting environment. It’s nice to hear about the positive side of this old debate between ranching / farming and the in-place wildlife. As a donator for many years to several environmental groups I’m glad they’re some remuneration programs that do work here and there.
A wonderful POV from this spot looking back on the open range with a spectacular BG of snow covered mountains. Excellent…
A beautiful scene, Mark. It is nice to know that the ranchers and landowners are working to keep for the wildlife.
A very nice, expansive landscape, Mark! The ranch is a small and unobtrusive part of the scene which demonstrates that it can be a part of nature without overpowering it.
I’ve heard about those folks, Mark. They’re doing good work. A lovely ranch/land-scape.
Hi Mark,
A great story and an excellent photo showing the expanse of land with a minor presence of the ranch. I really like the clouds in this scene–they are in the right spot and help show off the mountains on the LH side. Well done…Jim
