Still Cooperating

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

I can’t say for certain that this is the same Blue Dasher as my last post as there were a bunch of them cavorting around Lowes Water Gardens this past Saturday. Whoever he is he was also quite accommodating and gave me a number of keepers. >=))>

Specific Feedback

I made a special effort to arrange the focal plane to get the entire body of the dasher sharp so some of the bud perch may be a touch OOF. Too windy for a stack with my manual focus rig. Your thoughts?

You are amazing at your Dragonfly photography. You have lots of patience and technical skills to capture these amazing images. Beautiful Work. !!!

Wow… Fantastic image Bill, love the composition, the perch and the bg is just perfectly blurred.
The detail you got in the wings is amazing, love it.

Gorgeous, Bill. Yest the bud does transition to a slightly soft look toward the bottom, but it does so quite gracefully and just accents the sharpness of the tip where the dragonfly is perched.

Stealthy shooting paid off. I like the lines and the soft light. You could get away with lightening the dragon just a tad to help it stand out even more prominently if you wanted. What a treasure trove of subjects in that park.
