Description
At the Lowes Water Gardens there are lots of dragonflies and water lilies and sometimes I get lucky and get both in the same shot. I noticed this Blue Dasher landing on this opening bud and asked if he would kindly place himself where the light was good and at a nice pose. He was happy to oblige and I didn’t even have to have him sign a model release. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Had a few random bokeh balls that were not awful but not particularly complementary either. Your thoughts on making such go away?

Sweet, Bill and nice pose by the critter. That’s gotta be a great place with a name like that. I haven’t gotten any water flower shots for a couple years. They closed down Longwood Gardens for renovations, now after they reopened I don’t think they allow tripods in the lily section anymore. And Lilypons is too far to travel for an old man
Nice colors and an interesting comp. Taking Sandy’s advice, I’d be tempted to dark the BGslightly to make the subjects stand out more. That’s a very minor nit and the large version unwraps the eye candy with all of those crisp details…Jim
Very beautiful and very well done, Bill. I don’t have any problem with doing modifications to the background, though I do like to maintain a sense of place as you have done here.
Since you cropped the sides and there’s no horizon in the image, I wonder what it would look like if you rotated it clockwise a bit?
