I thought I would share this image taken last month in Iceland of one of my fellow photographers working on an image of a steam vent. It’s 1/5 second, so I hope this still qualifies as “slow” shutter.

Marylynne, this is a very good looking view, with the nice contrast between the green grasses at the bottom and the blue hot springs leading to the photog. The blowing mist also shows well with your ss. If you read the topic description, I said 1 sec or longer, so this is a bit too fast (which seems quite ironic for me to say…). It does do a good job of using the blur of a slow shutter to show motion.
A very nice image, Marylynne. I love the green grasses, the little ponds of water, and the photographer near the blowing mist taking his shots. It feels like I should be getting my camera set up to shoot too! Well seen and captured, even if it is “too fast” a shutter speed for the Weekly Challenge. Still a great shot.
Ah, I looked for the parameters and didn’t find them. Mark: Should I take this down and share a different image?
