Swans and re-post

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

There’s a seasonal lake about 1/2 hour from home where wintering geese and swans congregate by the hundreds. In the morning the swans take off and head to the fields to forage.
Mostly tundra swans, but I think the lead swan here is a trumpeter swan, based on being slightly larger than the other two and lacking the yellow lores of the tundra.

Specific Feedback

Any thoughts appreciated.

This is beautiful and incredible timing! I love all the water splashes, their wings are in sync, lovely colors …

The only potential thing I see, and I am not sure … is it slightly off level?

Fantastic shot!

HI Allen, nice catch of these swans taking off. Love the birds lined up and the water splashes from each. Nice sharpness on each bird. Agree the image could use some straightening.

Hi Allen. A third vote for some clockwise rotation. I’m not sure what the best source of leveling might be, but I’d be tempted to try using one of the more defined reflection streaks in the water. Alternatively, either the shoreline or the take-off streak left by the swans might work.

Thanks @Elizabeth , @Allen_Sparks , and @Dennis_Plank for your input. I’ve reposted with a (hopefully) straightened image.

Close enough on the straightening, Allen, since none of the lines are quite parallel, it’s impossible to get it absolutely satisfactory to all viewers. Nice work on this one.
