Taking a Reeding

The Great Blue Herons at our local refuge are way too tame and allow one to approach quite closely or they walk right up to you. Even though they are quite common in my neck of the woods, it is always fun to take their pictures. This one was hanging out in the reeds next to the trail.

An excellent head shot portrait, David. They must be close up to get this shot. Nice out of focus background to make him pop.

Good portrait with excellent detail against o pleasing background.

Excellent portrait, David. That eye is incredible. The reeds make a nice background.

Hi David, terrific portrait with the head parallel to us. Fine detail and exposure throughout. The eye really rocks.
