Description
I had shot a few bald eagles (that sounds so wrong), and was leaving the park and saw the pretty pines. I said “why can’t an eagle be sitting in one of those pretty green trees”, and then I said “oh my gosh, there is something!” And that something was a hawk. Got a few pix of it sitting in the tree, and then several as it took off. Best picture of a hawk I had ever taken.

Judi, nice take off pose - I really like the spread out wings and tail you captured and nice look at the eye. The pine is a fine perch to add interest to the image.
I like the pose and having the tree adds to the image. Nicely captured.
