Description

There is an older fir tree in my neighbors yard. Eagles frequently like to hang out at the very top but unfortunately there is a huge tangle of branches that frequently obstructs the bird. Fortunately, I have a second story deck where I can get better access. This was taken two days ago. I have some additional images that I will post tomorrow. Quite overcast in the background is just out of focus clouds. The tree is about 50 feet from my deck so there is some enlargement here, about 25% of full frame.

Nice, David. I love the pose. To my eye, the bird seems just a bit oversaturated, but that could just be me. The detail looks good.

Pose is excellent–just drop the saturation of yellows down slightly and should be ready for printing. Awesome shot…Jim

Hi David, that is really some pose you caught and seeing that talon so well is great. I’d hate to be on the receiving end of a talon strike. Seeing the open beak is nice too. Agree with a slight saturation decrease. Nice catch.

You caught an unique pose at an interesting angle, David. I like the expression in the eagle and your framing. I notice a little bit of color fringing around the eagle’s claws.
