As you can tell from my portfolio, I am mainly a birder and taking pictures of those. A well-know expression is ‘the best bird of the day was a mammal’. Last week the proverb proved right again, as I hardly came across any birds, but found two relaxed Harbour Seals on the beach. This one was moving up to higher grounds as the tide came in.

A truly fun take on this cute seal. I’m a big fan of the Ocean Conservation Namibia team posts on Youtube. They’re truly gladiators saving entangled fur seals daily in their home territory. I think they’re well over 600 saves this year alone…
