Description
“Dip” said the sign.
DIP??? WTF, More like “CHASM” !!!
I was going too fast down this back road of Vermont a few years ago, and I think I was airborne for a few seconds when the road fell out from under me.
Of course, I had to go back for a picture.
A lot of electric wires and posts removed

I love the perspective in this one s
Sandy and that is one wavy road. Signs can be deceptive. I remember driving through the California mountains 50 years ago and taking the curves well above the posted warning limit. Then I hit orchard country and they really meant that 25 mph turn! I was luckily, able to back out of the orchard with no damage. Nice Vermont fall colors as well.
This is a great first day of Fall post Sandy. Wow, that road is wild. I love the bright colors. This reminds me of Highway 95 down in the desert between Blythe and Needles. It also made me think of the frost heaves up on the AlCan Highway. My wife and I call those dry heaves in the desert. . .
Thank you @Ed_Williams@Diane_Miller
and thanks @Dennis_Plank for the EP.
This was really a roller-coaster ride, and the road continued like this for at least 3 miles more.
Hi Diane, this getting off topic, but I live in Colorado and joke that Coloradoans will ski anything. Well, last year I actually saw a couple of people skiiing a runaway truck ramp on one of the mountain passes!
@Jim_Erhardt
Hi, Jim!!! Wonderful to hear from you!
I’m glad you’re keeping in touch, and I hope you’ll even post some of your soon-to-be retired images!
The new Gen Fill in PS 2024 and beyond is exceptional at stuff like this, although I don’t use it often. It would have taken an hour of tedious hand-cloning, otherwise.
Best to you -
