Walking in a very nice valley in province of Bologna, near Villa d’Aiano not far from the central Appennines, I met some sandstone small hills dug and forged by the weather. For its shapes this was called Munch’s scream a version of the famous painting by the Norvegian artist.

The contrast is too high?

Love it! Definitely a screaming face there!
Nice colours and detail in the rocks

Very nice find Giuseppe; I too see the face. I think the earthtones of the sandstone help reinforce that perception of a face. BTW, the contrast looks just fine for my tastes. Nicely done.

I love this one Gigi. I don’t think the contrast is too high at all. The colors and shadows are great.

@SandyR-B, @Ed_Lowe, @Ed_Williams thanks for your comments and interest. I am glad that you can detect a screaming face.
