Allen, this is a fine look at this fresh Tiger Swallowtail with good sharpness throughout. The contrasting colors with the blazing star and the green background work well. Butterflies numbers in Maryland have been very low this year and I’ve only see a hand full of Tiger’s.
Allen, this is a great look at this Tiger Swallowtail. I just don’t know of anyway you could improve this shot. Love the angle you caught him. Excellent in every way.
I agree with both Mark and Shirley, Allen. This is a wonderful photo of the Tiger Swallowtail. Love the OOF green background, really set off the butterfly. Nicely seen and captured.
Allen: One of the best tiger shots I’ve seen in a long time. When I’ve encountered one of these beauties they seem to be very restless so this is a really good capture to get the wing position just perfect along with the orientation and location on the perch. Superbly captured shot. >=))>
Allen, Great image! Also, very well preserved specimen. Most of the tiger Swallowtails I have seen or tried to capture have damaged wins. Love the composition, colors and sharpness. Great background as well.
