Peter:
This is an excellent series of images. Excellent control of the whites and the background. Very sharp and detailed. Well done!

Peter: wonderful takeoff series with water trails. Although I like them all, if I had to pick one, it would be the second frame. Whites are very well handled.

Hi Peter - what a great set of images! Every one is excellent, with perfect whites, nice positions, and sweet water drops. Because of the unusual wing position and trailing water drops, I think #2 is the best.
Really exceptional work!

Nice images Peter! Love all the water drops and different wing positions. The third is my fave with the forward wings and cool water. I’m wondering if this bird is in breeding colors with the strong green on the face. Well done.

Hi David, Richard, Sandy & Allen
Thank you for your kind words.
Peter

Very nice series, Peter. The wing position in the first is my favorite, but the drops coming off the trailing plume in the second and the curvature of the plume are utterly gorgeous. You only cropped 20%, so I wonder what a huge crop starting just behind the main tail and including the legs and that arc of trailing drops would look like. It would be an odd composition, but it might be interesting.

Hi Dennis
Your wish is my command. Thanks for the comment.
Peter
P.S. The shutter speed needed to be higher for this close-up

.

Very nice, Peter, but if you had the pixels, this was the frame I was trying so ineptly to describe:

Difficult capture with those bright whites which you handled very well. The water drops add alot to each composition. Well done…Jim

Hi Dennis & Jim
Thank you for the comments. Dennis, the English language is so hard to understand. I see what you were looking for now.
Peter

Looks like you had the pixels, Peter. I don’t know about anyone else, but I like it.

Hi Dennis
This is why we place images in the critiques folder. I would have never thought of that framing, but you are correct, it is interesting.
Peter

Nice EP! Congrats!
I like Dennis-s idea on the unusual crop - always great to see the perspective of our comrades here.

Hi Sandy
Thank you, I always learn new thing here.
Peter

Really nice series! Congrats on the EP!

Thank you for your kind words.
Peter

Peter, I don’t know how I missed this series of wonderful shots! I’m glad I’m catching up now.

Firstly, congratulations on the EP. It’s very well deserved.

Whites handled beautifully and gorgeous dark background to show off the bird. I love seeing those droplet trails. Amazing.

Fascinating line of drops from the plumes, Peter. A great series and a fine EP.

Hi Glenys & Mike
Thank you for your kind words.
