Very nice images Peter! Nice wing positions and landing pose in general. So cool that the bird is carrying prey. Particularly like the first image. The dragonfly adds a point of interest to me. For my taste, I could see removing the out of focus platform in the background. Nice catches.

A nice series, Peter, and the detail in the Osprey is excellent. The fish adds to the image. Agree with removing the OOF platform.

I know DxO doesn’t do removal that well (or at least it didn’t the last I knew), but I could certainly see removing the platform, if possible. However, it wasn’t something that popped out at me when I first went through the series, so I don’t think it’s a really big deal.

Alternate Title: “Take out”

Hi Allen Sparks, Allen Brooks & Dennis
Thank you for the comments. Here is a repost with DXO’s best effort in removing the plate from the background.

Very nice flight captures and good job on the removal!!

DXO and you did a fine job on the removal, Peter.

Thank you Diane & Dennis, for comments.

Nice job on the reposts Peter!

Really late to the party Peter. I love this series. Great flight images of a wonderful bird. I’m pleased the OOF platform disappeared.

Repost looks good and you could have done a different crop to handle the OOF platform in the first image. Very nice series and carrying prey adds a nice bit of natural history to the images…Jim

Hi AllenSparks, Glenys & Jim
Thank you for the comments.
Peter

Nice series! The first one’s my favorite. If it were mine I’d look at cloning out the two things on the horizon. Just a thought.

Hi Dave
Thank you for your comment. Are you talking about the bird stand on the first post?
Peter

No. I was mentioning the slight irregularities on the horizon line (in that first capture)

Hi Dave
I see what you are looking at. Cloning is not one of the high points in DXO PhotoLab.
Peter

Really nice photos! Love Ospreys in flight. Great wing compositions!

Thank you Christine.
